Jetpatching Principles

The Ausroad™ Jetmaster Road Maintenance Unit works on the principle of moving aggregate with large volumes of low pressure air, and moving emulsion with higher pressure air. When these two elements, aggregate and emulsion are combined, a strong flexible and durable repair can be made.

While the principles are simple, a thorough knowledge of the machine and its working will help significantly in the ease of operation and the quality of road repair.

Operator expertise is significant in the quality of the final repair and normally a little practice is required to get the desired results.

While obtaining a consistent product is our goal, local aggregates and local emulsions do vary. Emulsion should be scrutinized for compatibility with aggregates and visa versa. It has been found that Rapid Setting Cationic Emulsions are most satisfactory.
